Love them

My mom bought Lily the most adorable little slipper/shoes at the Bloomington Handmade Market a few weeks ago.  They looked adorable, of course, but after using them for a few days, I've decided they are more than just cute looking, they are super functional. Lily tends to take off her shoes if they show any signs of being uncomfortable. Slippers she usually loses because they tend to fall off by themselves. She has to wear something though, because walking around in socks is too slippery on our wood and tile floors. These little slippers have the same kind of grippy bottoms that pajamas have. They are similar in design to Robeez, but they are made of fabric instead of leather, so you can wash them.

It is cool that they are made by a local crafter, too. If you are interested, here is a link to her Etsy shop where you can see all of the cute patterns. Mom bought Lily this pair, because the design looks like a water lily :)

I'm so glad that you like them. I started making them because I couldn't find anything comfy that my daughter would keep on her little feet. I know that she loves hers, but it's always so nice to hear back from other happy babies--and their parents :)

Thanks!
Amanda

So cute!
I saw these at bloomington handmade market too. I actually have a pattern for making these and I've yet to try it out yet.

besides, Amanda's were SO nice I think it made me figure to just buy them instead of trying to making them. They are lined and some even have piping.
You can not top piping.

Lisa, thanks! I just checked out your blog that you started for your son. What a wonderful idea! I wish I had thought of that :)

My siblings are both adopted; one with an open adoption. I think there are so many advantages-tangible and intangible-to open adoption. It sounds like you have had a really great experience, and I wish you all the best!

Super cute! Thanks for the link, I was looking to get some of the Robeez-type shoes for my son but these look like they'd be much cooler in the summer heat.
