Hide and Seek

Its that time of year again. We found a bunch of morels on the property today. I think we got around 20. I'm proud to say that I received the "big daddy mushroom of the day" award.

I also got a much needed haircut. I feel like a whole new woman!

Copy cat day

Yesterday's Flickr Group Roulette Challenge was "Copy cat". We were supposed to try and recreate another Flickr member's photo that we liked. A few people made copy cats of my photos, which was quite flattering :-)

Here are my photos, followed by links to the copy cats.

In case you are wondering, I copied this shot by Trish. Here is my version. Laura thinks I'm an exhibitionist. She has a thing against exhibitionists...

Happy Friday, y'all

I took a fun trip to the eye Dr. and he dilated my eyes. To tell the truth, I just wanted an excuse to get some of these bitchin glasses.

I made an appointment at this new eye place where I'd never been before. Then this morning, I'm on the phone with one of my customers when all of the sudden, I realize he is the eye Dr. I'm going to see in a few hours. What are the odds of that? Kind of weird. Like I told some friends, it could have been worse... he could have been my Gyno.

Corey is out working on his boat. I'm indoors, resting my poor little eyeballs. Thats all.

What we've been up to...

We've been having some absolutely gorgeous weather here in Indiana. I took a few pictures yesterday to document it. You can click on the pictures to make them larger.

My toes in the new grass. There's nothing softer than the first new grass in the spring. This was also the first official sandal wearing of the season.

Corey built a cold frame to house his plethora of plants.

My favorite spring flower: Hyacinth!

Just for Zack: Here is a photo of Corey's new boat, "The Gambler". I envision many a lonely evening in my future...

Camp out

We camped at the park last night. It was a bit chilly for tent camping (it got down to the upper 20s), but not too bad. We took a nice long hike this afternoon. The creeks are quite full due to all of the rain we've had lately. The dogs enjoy splashing through them while we precariously navigate the rocks to try and keep our shoes dry.

We planned on camping tonight, too. Then we discovered the problem with camping in your own park - you keep thinking of all of the stuff you need to get done at home. We came home and potted 220 veggie plants. Mostly tomatoes. My husband is insane. Did I mention that?

Pure marshmallow-eating bliss.

A tree giving birth to Corey.

I hope this post makes sense. I'm very tired. I'm going to bed now.
