For the love of a little girl...

As you have probably gathered in reading this blog, We have an open adoption with Lily's birth family. We feel so fortunate to be able to maintain this special bond with her birth relatives. We have have found that we have much in common, but most of all we share a tremendous love for this little girl. We were thrilled this week when Lily's birth grandma Chris and cousin Tiger were able to come all the way from California to visit! It has been wonderful spending time with them and watching them love Lily to pieces. Here are just a few shots from the last few days:

I am still thinking about my trip to Indiana. Once you get outside of Indianapolis it is quite a beautiful place. Getting to know Corey and Brook and spending time with Lily was more than i could have ever dreamed of. You are both so awsome and the best parents a grandmother could ever ask for. Your love for Lily shows in every way. I am so grateful that i got the opportunity to meet Brook and Corey's parents, Brooks brother and his wife. What wonderful families you have. I also got a chance to meet several of the friends from the adoptive couples group. Such a nice group of people. I immediately felt embraced by everyone. I look forward to seeing everyone in the near future. Little did we all know just how much this precious girl named Lily would bring so many people together.

Great posts:) Just catching up.... Your strength to stay on your bumpy adoption path.....It's hard to call it luck.... But for lack of a better word, you all are so very lucky to have found each other:) Glad you have such an amazing family, both close and far away....
