Lily update

It's been awhile since I've posted what Lily has been up to. She now thinks she is a goat, and climbs on anything and everything. She has been doing this for a few months, but now she is tall enough to reach stuff that we don't necessarily want her to have. She climbs onto the dining room table chairs and gets up onto the table. I pulled all the chairs away from the table, so now any chance she gets, she is standing on top of the chairs. It freaks us out and we are trying to teach her not to do this. Good luck, right?!

She is also very into mimicking now. She sweeps the floor with a full sized broom, loves doing the itsy bitsy spider movements, wears our shoes around the house, and pretty much copies everything else we do. It is so cute, it makes me teary. She is just the best little thing ever.

She loves getting stuff out of the cabinet where we store baking items. I moved the flour, etc. up a level to keep her out of them. Here is how that worked out.

The girl doesn't even like oats. I don't know what was up with that.

Here are some other random photos.

She still thinks her daddy is the best thing since sliced bread. So do I, actually.

Cuteness Overload! Do I spy her little toe nails painted in the first picture? Too cute! Anyway I love your photos & your blog and I just have a quick, odd question if you don't mind. I noticed that you have a new logo for your Photography website (which looks great) and I am trying to get a logo for mine as well. I just wondering if you could maybe tell me what service you used or point me in the right direction. Thanks for all your assistance and consideration.

Gina - yes, I painted her toesies while we were at the Cottage. Nothing cuter than painted baby toes!

Wow, my logo was quite a process! I ended up hiring someone from Etsy.com (just search "custom logo" and you'll see lots of people who do them. I spent a nice chunk of change and in the end I was not happy with her design at all.

I ended up just throwing my hands up and drawing this idea out of my head in Photoshop. I made a vector file out of it, as well as a custom brush so I can use it as a watermark, or whatever.

One place that does really AMAZING custom logos is http://www.luxecetera.com . But the cost a lot, too. If you do use Etsy, a better bet might be to choose one of the premade logos, so you know exactly what you are getting. There are lots of nice ones on there for less than $100.

Good luck.

Hee hee! She is such a big girl now, look at her go! I was going to say I can't wait for Oliver to get to this toddling phase (he's walking more and more every day now- eight whole steps last night), but now that I think about it, I'm going to have to rearrange the entire house. Thanks for the warning ;)

Thank you so much Brook! I use Etsy all the time but I never thought of checking them out for logos. :)

You can tell Lily that her little kiwi buddy George has those exact same nappies :)
