For the last month or so, Lily has not been her usual sleep-through-the-night self. She's been waking up fairly often and she's been hungry. A few weeks ago, we tried giving her some cereal to see if it helped her last through the night. Turns out, she just wasn't ready. She wasn't into it and I didn't want to push her. We decided to try again earlier this week. She has definitely got it down now! She's like a baby bird, mouth agape. Only problem is she wants to grab the spoon and put it in her mouth herself.

This is what happens...
...when it's daddy's turn to feed her.

For the record, I recall you asking me to bring a washcloth because she had food in her eyes (and everywhere else) yesterday while you were feeding her, so she doesn't just look like that when I feed her.
thank you for the sweet email. it really honestly got me thinking. your baby is beautiful. i will be reading- and thinking- about your journey. thanks brook!
It's okay Lily, sometimes my face looks like that after I eat to. Especially when it's BBQ.
