Its been forever. We've even got chickens since I posted last! I need to upload some pics of them, they are were so cute when they were tiny. Now they are practically chickens. Another new thing I've started to get into is spinning wool (for yarn). My very first attempt was last night. Here is a video Corey took of me doing it today. I wish YouTube didn't make it so pixely.
Hopefully I'll get back into the swing of updating the bloggy blog, especially since I quit my 2nd attempt at 365.
Chow for now.

Inspired
I'm so inspired at the moment by JoeyL's photography. The things he does with lighting is amazing! Plus, he's just a mere babe of 18 with no formal training. Even more amazing. Check out his work at joeyl.com . I'm going to use some ideas from his images when I start up doing 365 again. I *might* be getting an off camera flash for Christmas, so I can't wait to practice.

Meeting Abe

We had a late Thanksgiving with my parents in Illinois this weekend. The highlight was our trip to the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum in Springfield. It was quite a drive but well worth the trip. The exhibits were interactive and quite entertaining. Not your typical museum at all. The wax figures were eerie. We are pictured here with Abe, Mary and son Willie. There was a show about the Lincoln library that was part history lesson, part magic show. Really cool! We were so mesmerized by the show that we had to ask the docent whether the actor was real or fake (answer: real!). I highly recommend the museum if you have a chance to go there.

Ch-balls
Since my dad says I never post, I figured I'd show him and do two in one day.
Corey decided after all that sausage cooking the oven needed cleaning. He turned it on "self clean" and our entire house filled with smoke. We opened the windows and turned on fans and now the level of smoke in the house is tolerable.
To continue with my fried food kick (I made funnel cakes for breakfast) we made ch-balls tonight. They are actually cheese balls, but its much more fun to call them ch-balls. Just as my friend Laura.

Its that time of year again...
... so Corey is making sausage. Corey got 3 deer already. Here is what has become of them.

Random thoughts: For awhile now, I've been thinking of doing another 365. Corey is not loving the idea. He says it takes up too much of my time. Also, I've been doing a lot of knitting as of late. The last thing I made I LOVE but I can't share it yet because its a gift. I'll post the photos after Christmas.
